Why Liberals Should Not Vote For Obama

Obama's term as president could be accurately described as Bush's 3rd term. There have been no significant changes from the Bush administration in economic or foreign policy.

Obama has criticized Bush for invading Iraq which was not involved in 9/11. Yet Obama has no problem waging war in Libya. He also seems to be starting a war in Syria. Bush claimed that the war in Iraq helped free the people from an oppressor, and Obama makes the same excuse for his wars. Also similar to Bush - Obama did not get a formal declaration of war from Congress.

Obama signed the NDAA allowing indefinite military detention.

Obama, like Bush, continues to support oppressive dictatorships around the world including Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

Obama continued the patriot act and continued Bush's war on the rights of American citizens.

Obama has assassinated American citizens abroad without a trial.

Obama continues the disastrous war on drugs, despite all of the chaos it causes both here and abroad. America continues to have the largest population of prisoners in the world, mostly because of the war on drugs.

Obama uses taxpayer money to bail out large financial institutions which have donated millions to Obama's campaigns.

Obama criticized Bush's deficits of 300 to 400 billion per year. Yet Obama's deficits have been double that on average. Senator Obama voted against increasing the debt ceiling while Bush was president, but President Obama supports raising the debt ceiling. The debt is now so large that S&P has stripped the US of its AAA rating.

Obama continues to bankrupt America through an overextended military, including supporting troops in over 100 countries around the world.

Obama is prosecuting Bradley Manning.

Obama wants to regulate the internet through an international version of SOPA.

Obama continues the useless and damaging embargo of Cuba.

A vote for Obama is a vote for more war and less freedom. It is a vote for another term of George W. Bush. All differences between the two are a facade. Vote for a third party that is more in line with your ideology.
